The installer sets up all of these for you:
Use this page when you want to add Monk to one agent yourself, or to check what the installer did. Each agent has the same three steps: install, reload, sign in.

Claude Code

Run these inside Claude Code:
If /reload-plugins isn’t available, restart Claude Code. Sign in: run /mcp, choose monk, and authenticate in the browser. Update: /plugin update monk@monk-plugins, then /reload-plugins. Remove: /plugin uninstall monk@monk-plugins.

Codex

Run these in a terminal:
Restart Codex. Sign in:
Update: codex plugin marketplace upgrade monk-plugins, then codex plugin add monk@monk-plugins. Remove: codex plugin remove monk@monk-plugins.

Cursor

Install Monk from the Cursor marketplace. Or install it straight from the plugin repository, in Cursor chat:
Restart Cursor, then open Settings → Tools & MCP and check that monk is listed and enabled. Sign in: use the login button next to the monk server in Settings → Tools & MCP. Remove: remove Monk from Cursor’s plugin settings.

Google Antigravity

Restart Antigravity and open a project. Plugins load in a workspace, so Monk appears once a project is open. Sign in: open Agent Settings → Customizations and choose Authenticate next to monk. Update: run the install command again.

Devin

Restart Devin. Sign in:
Update: devin plugins update monk.

Agents Without a Plugin

These agents connect to Monk as an MCP server. Monk has to be installed and running on your computer first: run the installer, which also writes these entries for you. Each entry points at http://127.0.0.1:7419/mcp. Add it under the key shown, keeping whatever else is in the file, then restart the agent. Sign in when the agent asks, or through its MCP settings.
The installer also adds the Monk skill, which teaches the agent how to work with Monk, to ~/.agents/skills/monk. To add it by hand, copy the skills/monk folder there (for Cline: ~/.cline/skills/monk).

VS Code (Copilot)

Run MCP: Open User Configuration from the Command Palette, or edit mcp.json in your VS Code user folder (~/Library/Application Support/Code/User on macOS, ~/.config/Code/User on Linux, %APPDATA%\Code\User on Windows):
Reload the window.

GitHub Copilot CLI

~/.copilot/mcp-config.json:

Gemini CLI

~/.gemini/settings.json:

Amp

~/.config/amp/settings.json:

Cline

Cline’s MCP settings file, cline_mcp_settings.json in VS Code’s globalStorage/saoudrizwan.claude-dev/settings folder:
Reload the VS Code window.

Goose

~/.config/goose/config.yaml:

JetBrains Junie

~/.junie/mcp/mcp.json, shared by the Junie CLI and the IDE plugin:
Restart Junie or your IDE.

Kilo Code

~/.config/kilo/kilo.json:

OpenCode

~/.config/opencode/opencode.json:

Roo Code

Roo’s global MCP settings, mcp_settings.json in VS Code’s globalStorage/rooveterinaryinc.roo-cline/settings folder:
Reload the VS Code window.

Warp

~/.warp/.mcp.json:
Start a new agent session. Warp starts the server and asks you to sign in.

Zed

Zed’s settings.json (~/.config/zed/settings.json, or %APPDATA%\Zed\settings.json on Windows):

Any Other MCP Agent

Add a streamable HTTP MCP server named monk at http://127.0.0.1:7419/mcp. Monk signs the agent in with OAuth the first time it connects.

Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop only starts MCP servers as local commands, so it connects through Monk’s stdio bridge. Install Monk with the installer first, then open Settings → Developer → Edit Config and add:
Use your own home folder in the path (C:\\Users\\you\\.monk\\bin\\monk-agent.exe on Windows). Restart Claude Desktop and ask it to sign in to Monk, or run this in a terminal:
